The band has a very relaxed atmosphere and welcomes all players to come and play and anyone to come and have a listen. The original idea of the “get together” was to have fun, this is still the ethos of the Pryde of East Lothian Pipes and Drums and all our sets are geared towards musicality and fun. The goals of the band are:
1.) To provide a place for pipers and drummers in East Lothian to be exposed to top quality instruction and be part of a dynamic pipe band.
2.) To provide a place for Old Lorettonians to play together after leaving Loretto School. This allows the band to use Loretto CCF Pipes and Drums outstanding facilities and also means that Loretto School can build stronger links with the local community through the common interest of piping and drumming.
3.) To be the premier competing band within East Lothian
4.) To have FUN!!
